Week 16: Christmas & Gifts!

To start off, This week I got my package for Sinterklaas (Dutch holiday almost like Santa Claus, look it up! ) I thought it was really nice of them to give me some chocolate and some other sweets that are typical to Dutch people in december!

At the end of the week I also went to pick-up my christmas present from the company. It was good to see Remco and Marijn again in real life :). I held my distance and wore a facemask, so no worries there. Anyway the christmas gift from the company was huge. I like that they give interns the same present as other team members, it really made me feel appreciated and valued.

So that’s it for the gifts, now back to work ๐Ÿ˜‰

So this week I continued my work on the (for now) final enemy. I had it finished by the end of the week. Like regular, I discussed with Timen and Roy about the current implementation. Made some changes halfway through the week to create an easier workflow for the leveldesigners.

This enemy is different from the others, it’s no boss but it can actually do an attack using an animation and a projectile. This made it a little bit more difficult than the others, but since the base was already kind of set it didn’t take much longer than expected. For triggering the projectile I used animation events and a StateMachineBehaviour on the animator. In the report I can actually talk more about this.

This week before christmas also made me realise there are only 4 weeks left of my internship. This means I need to allocate some more time for my report the coming weeks.
